Role Summary & Benefits

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a team that helps keep our communities clean and sustainable?

We’re looking for Loaders to join our Refuse and Recycling Collection Service based at Torr Quarry Depot. Previous waste or recycling experience is welcome, but it isn’t essential. If you have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a physically active role where you’ll be collecting household waste and recycling across the local area. You’ll spend your days outdoors, walking up to 10 miles each day while helping to deliver an essential service that residents rely on. If you enjoy keeping fit and don’t like being tied to a desk, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Working whatever the weather, you’ll be part of a hardworking and supportive team collecting kerbside wheeled bins and recycling boxes, helping to keep our communities clean and environmentally responsible.

We’re looking for people who are enthusiastic, reliable, physically fit, and able to work outdoors throughout the year. Waste and recycling experience is beneficial, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important.

This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to make a real difference in your local community while enjoying an active and varied working day.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Andy Patton, Operations Manager, on [phone removed] or email [email removed].

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if sufficient applications are received. Therefore, if you are interested, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
