Senior Claims Handler

Take responsibility for handling commercial insurance claims across a varied client portfolio, with particular exposure to Motor Fleet and Motor Trade risks. This Senior Claims Handler position in Birmingham offers a salary of £40,000-£45,000, discretionary bonus and flexible hybrid working within an established insurance broking business.

You'll be working with commercial clients on their claims requirements, helping them navigate the process from initial notification through to settlement. The business handles a broad range of commercial insurance risks, offering plenty of variety beyond its core motor-related specialisms.

The opportunity

This is a senior claims position where your technical knowledge, attention to detail and ability to manage client relationships will be central to delivering a strong claims service.

• Commercial claims handling: Manage claims across Motor Fleet, Motor Trade and wider commercial insurance policies.
• Claims ownership: Take responsibility for progressing claims, liaising with insurers, loss adjusters and clients to achieve appropriate outcomes.
• Complex claims: Apply your experience to more involved claims, identifying potential issues and helping clients understand their options.
• Client relationships: Act as a trusted point of contact, providing clear updates and practical support throughout the claims process.
• Insurer negotiations: Work with insurers and relevant third parties to challenge delays, resolve queries and progress settlements.
• Broader exposure: Gain experience across a varied commercial portfolio, with opportunities to develop your technical knowledge.
