HR advisor

As an HR Advisor in Hull, you'll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the Human Resources department within the retail industry. You'll provide advice, guidance, and practical support on HR matters to ensure the organisation operates effectively and efficiently.

This role is with a company in the retail industry based in Hull.

Description

• Provide advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures to managers and employees.
• Support recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions and assisting with interviews.
• Manage employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
• Oversee absence management, including return-to-work interviews and monitoring absence trends.
• Assist with training and development initiatives to support employee growth.
• Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports as required.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies.

Profile

A successful HR Advisor should have:

• Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures
• Strong experience as a HR advisor or higher
• Experience in handling employee relations and recruitment processes - this is a ER role
• Good understanding of employment law and its practical application.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges.
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Job Offer
