P.E Teacher – DN6 – Long Term Opportunity

Male PE Teacher | DN6

Provide Education is recruiting a Male PE Teacher for a secondary school in the DN6 area. This temporary, long-term opportunity is suited to someone who can deliver engaging Physical Education lessons, promote participation and encourage students to develop their sporting skills. Please note we are looking for a male teacher due to responsibilities surrounding changing rooms and supervision.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified PE Teacher or a candidate with relevant teaching experience and a strong sporting background.
• Experience working with secondary school students.
• The ability to lead practical lessons and maintain safe participation.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A positive approach to encouraging teamwork, fitness and sportsmanship.
• Reliability, flexibility and a commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Deliver PE lessons to secondary school students across a range of sporting activities.
• Organise practical sessions that develop students’ physical skills and confidence.
• Demonstrate techniques and explain the rules and requirements of different sports.
• Promote teamwork, participation and positive sporting behaviour.
• Manage classes effectively and ensure students follow health and safety procedures.
• Adapt activities to suit students’ abilities and encourage inclusive participation.
• Support students’ progress in line with curriculum expectations.
