About the role
Full Stack Software Engineer | Go | TypeScript | React | GCP | Outside IR35
? Manchester, Hybrid (minimum once a week)
? 6 Month Contract

We're partnering with an established UK organisation looking for an experienced Technical Lead / Senior Software Engineer to support the ongoing development of a business-critical application.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on technical specialist to take ownership of complex development challenges, provide technical leadership within a small team and work closely with stakeholders to turn business requirements into effective technical solutions.
As the Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:
- Lead the development and enhancement of backend services using Go (Golang) and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React and JavaScript.
- Design, develop and maintain APIs and integrations.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases and existing application architectures.
- Support applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Contribute to deployment processes and infrastructure, including Google Cloud Build and Terraform.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve application performance and reliability.
- Provide technical direction and support to other developers.
- Work directly with stakeholders to clarify requirements, challenge assumptions and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Take ownership of ongoing development and improvements beyond go-live.
We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with:
- Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang) - exposure to GO as a minimum.
- Excellent TypeScript development skills and experience with React and JavaScript.
- Experience building backend services and working with REST APIs.
- Strong SQL database experience, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- The ability to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously.
