ACA / ACCA Qualified | Group Finance | Career Progression
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a growing, multi-site business based at its head office in Solihull.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, this is a broad financial accounting role offering exposure to group reporting, statutory accounts, financial controls and process improvement.
The position would suit a recently qualified accountant looking to make their first move from practice, or someone with 1-3 years' post-qualified experience looking to develop within a larger group environment.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of head office accounting and month-end close activities.
Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Support monthly management accounts, group reporting and consolidation.
Assist with statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit.
Support VAT, tax, payroll accounting and other compliance requirements.
Investigate accounting discrepancies and maintain strong financial controls.
Provide financial analysis and commentary to senior finance stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, systems and automation.
About You
Fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
Ideally recently qualified or with 1-3 years' PQE.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting.
Experience of statutory accounts preparation and/or audit.
Confident with Excel and financial systems.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Proactive, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
