Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Basis: Supply
The Education Network is currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to provide full-time maternity cover at a secondary school in the Durham area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor or a confident individual with relevant school-based experience to join a supportive school for a long-term placement, starting 2nd November and continuing through to the summer.
The role will involve:
- Supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff.
- Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
- Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Supporting students with their learning and behaviour.
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Previous experience working in a secondary school or similar educational setting.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- The confidence to supervise students independently.
- A professional, reliable and positive approach.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
