About the role
Elevation Recruitment Group’s Skilled Shop Floor Division is currently recruiting for a Powder Coating Paint Sprayer to join a busy manufacturing business based in Morley, Leeds.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Powder Coater or Industrial Paint Sprayer to join an established production team, working on a variety of metal components and ensuring all finished products meet the required customer and quality standards.
Location: Morley, Leeds
Salary: £14.35 per hour
Shifts: Days Only 8am-4.30pm
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
The Role
As a Powder Coating Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing, coating and inspecting metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish is achieved consistently.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning, inspecting, masking and hanging metal components ready for coating.
- Setting up and operating powder coating spray guns and associated equipment.
- Applying powder coating evenly and accurately to meet specified colour, coverage and thickness requirements.
- Loading and unloading curing ovens and following the correct cure settings.
- Inspecting finished components for defects and carrying out approved touch-ups where required.
- Identifying and reporting any quality issues or defects.
- Maintaining powder coating equipment and carrying out basic troubleshooting.
- Completing production records and relevant paperwork.
- Keeping the coating area clean, organised and safe.
- Working in line with all company health & safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting, although candidates with relevant spray-painting experience may also be considered.
You will also have:
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- The ability to read work orders and follow written coating specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good basic troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A reliable and flexible approach to working shifts.
- The ability to stand for extended periods and handle metal components safely.
