Purchase Ledger Assistant

We are recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a busy and supportive finance team. • Process and reconcile supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end completion.
• Manage supplier accounts, payments, and statement reconciliations.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and KPI reporting.
• Resolve supplier queries efficiently and professionally.
• Support cash flow forecasting and month-end activities.
• Ensure expenditure is correctly coded, reconciled, and VAT-compliant.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the finance function.
• Provide support to the wider finance team when required.

• Previous Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong supplier reconciliation skills.
• Good Excel knowledge, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication skills with a positive, team-focused approach.
• AAT Level 3 desirable, although candidates qualified through experience will also be considered.
