Accounts Manager / Qualified Accountant
Location: Chandler’s Ford
Salary: From £50,000 per annum
Full Time - 9am to 5.30pm
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager / Qualified Accountant for one of our clients for a varied role covering accounts preparation, tax and day-to-day accounting support.
This opportunity would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with small and medium-sized businesses, delivering accurate work and providing clear, practical advice. Experience working with SMEs is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing annual accounts for SME businesses.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Completing personal tax returns.
- Managing company secretarial duties and statutory filings.
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
- Overseeing bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Using Xero and QuickBooks Online to support efficient accounting processes.
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and meet reporting deadlines.
About you
- A qualified accountant with a recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACA or ACCA.
- Essential experience working with SMEs and a sound understanding of their accounting needs.
- Strong technical knowledge across annual accounts, corporation tax and personal tax.
- Experience in VAT, bookkeeping and company secretarial work.
- Confident using Xero and QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, organised approach.
