Highway Asset Engineer

Our client is seeking a Highway Asset Engineer to join its City Operations Asset Management team on a contract basis. The role will support the development and delivery of highway maintenance programmes, providing technical input and design approvals across major infrastructure projects, including HS2, metro schemes and external developments. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the development of highway asset maintenance programmesProviding technical engineering input across a range of highway projectsReviewing and approving designs in line with relevant standards and requirementsContributing to highway asset management activities and maintenance planningSupporting projects associated with HS2, metro schemes and external developmentsWorking collaboratively with project teams, contractors and other stakeholdersEnsuring highway engineering solutions are practical, compliant and effectively delivered Job Requirements: Experience in highway engineering and highway asset managementUnderstanding of highway maintenance programmes and asset management principlesKnowledge of design review and approval processesAbility to provide clear technical advice and engineering inputStrong understanding of relevant highway standards and industry best practiceExcellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively within a City Operations or infrastructure environment Contract Details: Contract positionDuration of approximately 10 monthsExpected start date in December If you are a Highway Asset Engineer with experience in highway maintenance and asset management, this is an excellent opportunity to support significant infrastructure and development projects.
