About the role
Cedar is exclusively supporting a Public Sector client in the North East who are looking to hire an Assistant Contracts Manager. This role is a permanent job opportunity and offers a salary ranged up to £42,000 per annum with a range of great benefits which also include a Local Government Pension. The role will operate on a hybrid basis - the usual expectation to be on-site is 3 days per week however this will be flexible to support workload and delivery.
Working as part of a growing Procurement and Contract Management team, the successful candidate will report in to the Contract Manager and will be responsible for assisting the contract management of key services and other related contracts within the organisation. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to contract compliance and budgetary targets, participate in the procurement process and ensure delivery meets all necessary legislation, targets and service levels.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- experience working in a role covering i.e. Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management and/or Contract Management
- experience and understanding of Contract Management, Supplier Management and Cost Management
- understanding of Risk Management
- strong written and verbal communication skills - being able to write contracts/report and support negotiations are key to this role
