Client Bookkeeper Norwich GBP28,000 to GBP34,000 Full-time, permanent Hybrid after probation If you're the bookkeeper people come to when something doesn't add up, and you'd rather build smarter ways of working than do things the way they've always been done, read on. This is a bookkeeping and client-focused role with a modern Norwich practice. You'll keep the bookkeeping running smoothly, review other people's work and produce VAT, MTD and possibly management accounts, with AI tools to help you work faster. THE FIRM An independent, cloud-based accountancy practice in Norwich with a clear purpose: to make accounting a genuine partnership for small businesses, not a black box. The client base is varied and interesting, from owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs to charities and social enterprises. They use AI tools properly (with a human always checking the output), the leadership team are serious about training and technical standards, and the culture puts wellbeing and development front and centre. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Running the day-to-day bookkeeping and reporting planner, so work flows and deadlines are hit Reviewing junior colleagues' bookkeeping, spotting patterns and training errors out rather than quietly fixing them Preparing and submitting VAT and MTD returns Processing and reviewing bookkeeping in Dext, FreeAgent, Xero and QuickBooks Using AI to speed up file reviews, draft client queries and pull insight from the numbers Spotting bottlenecks and clearing them, rather than letting queries sit WHO THIS WILL SUIT AAT or ICB qualified (MICB or FICB), or strong QBE At least 3 years' multi-client experience in UK accountancy practice Confident with VAT, MTD and management accounts Genuinely tech-savvy and keen on AI and automation Unafraid of change and happy to rethink how things are done Someone who drives work forward and enjoys helping others improve WHAT'S ON OFFER GBP28,000 to GBP34,000, depending on experience Hybrid working once you've passed probation Fully funded private healthcare, an Employee Assistance Programme and trained Mental Health First Aiders Profit-share bonus and pension 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays Support with further study if you want to progress A green, easy-to-reach office with a cycle to work scheme INTERESTED?
