Position: Store Manager (Full-Time / Permanent)
Location: Mallaig, Scotland
Salary: £34,840 – £38,480 per year (Band 3, plus annual bonus & great benefits)
Hours: 39 hours per week

In this leadership role, you will lead the commercial and community strategies to drive store success locally. By building, coaching, and developing a high-performing team, you’ll create an inclusive environment where colleagues can thrive and customers receive a fantastic shopping experience every single day.
What You'll Be Doing
Store Leadership & Culture: Build an inclusive, high-performing culture where colleagues feel valued, supported, and confident to speak up.
Commercial Performance: Take ownership of store performance, using commercial insights to drive sales, manage operations, and improve results.
Team Development: Coach, mentor, and support your team, taking charge of HR processes, recruitment, and people management decisions.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure your store remains safe, legal, and running smoothly at all times.
Community Impact: Champion Co-op membership, support local causes, and bring the Co-op purpose to life in the local area.
Requirements & Commutability
Experience: Experience leading and developing a team in a busy, service-focused retail environment, with strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
Commutability: Applicants must live within a reliable, commutable distance of Mallaig.
