As a Interim Payroll Assistant, you will help keep payroll administration accurate and up to date for a retail business. You will work within Accounting & Finance, handling day-to-day payroll tasks that help employees receive the right pay on time.

Description

• Process payroll information accurately and maintain clear records for each pay period.
• Check employee pay data and resolve straightforward discrepancies before payroll is finalised.
• Update payroll systems with changes to employee details, hours and payments.
• Respond to payroll queries in a clear and timely way, providing accurate information.
• Prepare payroll reports and supporting information for the Accounting & Finance team.
• Maintain organised payroll files and ensure information is easy to access when needed.
• Work with colleagues to meet payroll deadlines during this temporary assignment.

Profile

A successful 'Payroll Assistant ' should have:

• Experience of handling payroll administration and employee pay information.
• Confidence using payroll systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Good attention to detail when checking payments, hours and employee data.
• Ability to manage payroll tasks to agreed deadlines.
• Clear communication skills when responding to payroll queries.
• Experience working with confidential information in an Accounting & Finance setting.

Job Offer

• Temporary Payroll Assistant role based in Doncaster.
• Hourly pay of £14 to £17, dependent on the level of experience.
