About the role
A Design Assistant is required to join the team in a busy fitted furniture showroom in Hampstead, North West London. The Design Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Designers with drawing room / furniture plans for presentation to clients.
Other duties will involve liaising with clients over the phone to arrange appointments for the designers, dealing with email enquiries, liaising with head office to place furniture orders and planning and coordinating installation dates with interior designers and private clients.
Applicants will need to have a good ability to deal with numbers and measurements. The role will involve working with room plans to create technical drawings for client projects. Previous experience of using CAD would be highly beneficial.
This role is offered on a 5 day per week basis including Saturdays (the showroom is not open on Sundays) and the Design Assistant will have Sundays and Mondays off work.
This role would suit someone who is perhaps working in a similar capacity at present or possibly a recent graduate with a relevant degree. In the longer term this job could progress to become a Designer with the business. Great company and friendly and warm company culture.
