Teaching Assistant
Location: Gloucester City Centre
Hours: Full-Time

Mainstream Primary School Monarch Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established primary school in the centre of Gloucester to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school where you will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will assist in delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive learning environment where every child can thrive. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is passionate about education and supporting children both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities.
\n
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
\n
• Provide targeted support to pupils requiring additional assistance.
\n
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
\n
• Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and displays.
\n
• Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's policies.
\n
• Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
\n
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
\n
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
\n
• Support children with additional needs where required.
\n
• Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
\n
• Experience within a school setting would be advantageous.
\n
• A patient, positive and caring approach.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
\n
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
\n
• Full-time availability.
\n
