Job Title: CNC Machine Turner – Nights Location: Basildon Hours: Monday–Thursday 19:30–04:30 / Friday 14:30–19:30 Pay: £18.54 per hour + 33% shift allowance AMLR are looking for a CNC Machine Turner with Milling Experience to join a leading aerospace manufacturer in Basildon. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components to strict aerospace standards. Key responsibilities for CNC Machine Turner/Miller: * Producing precision components from engineering drawings using CNC machines. * Setting and operating CNC turning machines efficiently and accurately. * Setting and operating CNC milling machines where required. * Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances. * Interpreting engineering drawings and following manufacturing instructions. * Selecting and setting appropriate tooling, work offsets and cutting parameters. * Carrying out quality checks on finished components and ensuring work meets the required standard. * Using a wide variety of measuring equipment to inspect components. * Identifying and resolving machining issues where required. * Cleaning and maintaining CNC machines, associated equipment and the machine area. * Working in accordance with company quality, health and safety and environmental standards. * Supporting continual improvement across manufacturing, quality, health and safety and environmental processes. * Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required aerospace standards. Requirements for CNC Machine Turner/Miller: * Fully skilled, time-served CNC Setter/Operator with relevant qualifications or certificates. * Proven experience setting and operating CNC turning machines. * Previous experience with CNC milling machines is essential. * Previous experience within an aerospace or precision engineering manufacturing environment. * Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions. * Experience working to tight tolerances. * Experience using a wide range of measuring equipment. * Knowledge of Fanuc or similar CNC controls. * Computer literate. * Excellent attention to detail and concentration to ensure consistently high-quality components. * Good practical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to follow written instructions and manufacturing procedures. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong commitment to safe working practices. * Excellent hand-to-eye coordination. xjnqpsq If you are a skilled CNC Machine Turner with Milling Experience looking for your next opportunity within the aerospace and precision engineering sector, apply now or submit your most up-to-date CV to j . reid @ amlr . uk or contact us to discuss how we can find you your next move within your chosen sector, with one of the many career opportunities we currently have.
