Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative
Location: Milton Keynes (MK19 7BH)
Pay Rate: £22.50 per hour
Contract: Short term assignment (Approx. 6 Weeks) with Potential Extension or Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team at their prestigious site based at MK19
Working across several buildings on site, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance and engineering tasks, ensuring facilities remain safe, operational and compliant. A strong plumbing background is essential, particularly in supporting leak investigations and heating-related issues, alongside a broad maintenance skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve plumbing issues, including leaks and minor repair works
- Support heating system maintenance and fault finding
- Carry out general building maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Undertake basic electrical maintenance tasks where required
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests across the site
- Assist with porterage duties and movement of equipment as needed
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role
- Strong plumbing skills with the ability to complete basic plumbing works independently
- Good mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
- Basic electrical knowledge
- A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a secure environment
