A growing technology business is seeking an Electronics Engineer on a full time, permanent basis to take ownership of electronic hardware development from initial circuit design through to testing, validation and production. This is a practical engineering role offering involvement across the full product lifecycle, working alongside firmware, mechanical and systems engineers to deliver reliable hardware for demanding operational environments

What you will be doing:

• Design analogue and digital electronic circuits and produce schematics
• Develop hardware from initial prototypes through testing, debugging and design validation
• Review PCB layouts for signal integrity, electromagnetic interference and compatibility, and manufacturability
• Design and develop power electronics, including DC-DC converters, regulators, battery and charging systems
• Select components and manage bills of materials, balancing availability, cost and alternative components
• Maintain hardware documentation, revision control and engineering change records
• Support manufacturing, production and suppliers during the build process
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical and systems engineers to ensure integrated product performance

What we are looking for:

• Experience designing analogue and digital electronic circuits from schematic through to validated hardware
• Strong practical laboratory and debugging skills
• Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analysers, soldering and rework equipment
• Knowledge of power electronics, regulators, protection circuits, batteries and charging systems
• Experience with component selection and BOM management
• Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance, normally requiring British citizenship or at least five years' UK residency
• Willingness to work on-site in the West Midlands at least three days per week
