About the role
Data Centre Solutions Architect
London (Hybrid) | Permanent
I'm partnering with a well-respected global technology solutions and services provider to hire a Data Centre Solutions Architect into their London-based architecture team.
This is a client-facing pre-sales role for someone who loves on-premises infrastructure and enjoys turning complex business problems into clear, well-designed technical solutions. You'll join a highly skilled team of architects and engineers who speak at conferences, run meetups and are genuinely passionate about data centres, cloud, automation and AI.
What you'll be doing:
- Working directly with clients to understand their challenges and design the right on-prem solution
- Data centre network modernisation: spine-leaf, SDN and Cisco ACI
- Infrastructure automation and cost optimisation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Designing resilient, highly available environments and DR strategies
- Architecting AI-ready infrastructure (GPU/CPU compute) and advising on power, cooling and rack density
- Presenting solutions and business value to technical and senior stakeholders
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure or data centre architecture
- Hands-on design or deployment experience across some of: Cisco UCS or Dell PowerEdge, Cisco Nexus/ACI, HCI (Nutanix, HyperFlex, Azure Local), Pure Storage or Dell EMC, VMware Cloud Foundation
- Experience architecting and delivering migrations end to end
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to link technology to business outcomes
- Bonus points for CCNP, NVIDIA certifications, Python/REST APIs, or Docker/Kubernetes
