Quantity Surveyor Internal Stone Finishes
Location: Hounslow, West London
Salary: Up to £65k + Package
  
Our client is an established and growing internal stone finishes subcontractor delivering high-quality solutions across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout London. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in West London team.

The Role
  
As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of internal stone finishes packages, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and achieve target profitability. Working closely with project managers, estimators, procurement and site teams, the role will cover cost control, valuations, variations, procurement and final accounts across a range of stone finishes projects.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Manage project costs, budgets, cash flow forecasts and commercial reporting.
• Undertake quantity take-offs and measurement of stone flooring, wall cladding, staircases and bespoke stone features.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Identify, price and manage variations arising from design changes, site instructions and additional works.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for stone materials, fabrication and installation.
• Monitor material costs, wastage, procurement commitments and project profitability.
• Review contract documents, drawings, specifications and scopes of work to identify commercial risks.
• Liaise with project managers, design teams, suppliers and site teams to resolve commercial and technical issues.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure variations and payments are agreed in a timely manner.
• Support the commercial team in maximising project margins and achieving successful project delivery.

  
Requirements

• Proven experience as aa Quantity Surveyor within the internal stone finishes sector
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in MS Office packages.
