About the role
Ashton Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Mobile Electrician to join their facilities management team, based in Castlereagh.
Job Title: Mobile Electrician
Location: Castlereagh, Northern Ireland
Salary: £36,000 per annum (with potential to increase depending on experience)
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Our client is seeking a qualified Electrician with experience in planned preventative maintenance (PPM), facilities management and Building Management Systems (BMS). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician looking for a varied mobile role, with flexible starting times, a company vehicle and the potential to negotiate a higher salary depending on experience.

The Role
As a Mobile Electrician, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and general electrical maintenance across a range of facilities. You will help ensure electrical systems and building services operate safely and efficiently while providing reliable maintenance support across assigned sites.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and building services
- Completing reactive maintenance, fault-finding and electrical repairs
- Maintaining and repairing electrical systems, including lighting and associated building services
- Supporting the maintenance of heating systems and other facilities-related equipment
- Monitoring and working with Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Identifying faults and carrying out appropriate remedial work
- Travelling between three sites to complete maintenance tasks as required
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting any issues
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant electrical regulations and Health & Safety procedures
- Providing a professional and reliable service across client sites
Essential Criteria
- Fully qualified Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications
- Minimum of one year’s relevant electrical experience
- Previous experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Full, valid driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
Desirable Criteria
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Previous experience in a mobile facilities management role
