Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Salary: £52,000 – £65,000 per annum
Additional Bonus: Up to £10,000 annually

About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a well-established, 4-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children’s residential home in Redditch.

The home currently holds an Ofsted Good rating (April 2026), with no requirements or recommendations for improvement, and is performing towards an Outstanding standard.

The home currently supports four young people, all of whom attend full-time education outside the home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager looking to join a stable, fully staffed home with strong operational support and opportunities for professional development.

Experienced Deputy Managers looking to progress into their first Registered Manager position will also be considered, with salaries starting from £47,500.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management and operation of the children’s residential home.
• Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, motivate and support an established staff team.
• Ensure the home continues to meet and exceed Ofsted standards.
• Develop and maintain individualised care plans that promote positive outcomes for young people.
• Build strong working relationships with external professionals, families and relevant authorities.
• Manage staffing, budgets, administration and operational responsibilities effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s EBD residential setting is highly desirable.
• Ideally, a track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings in homes of a similar size.
• Experienced Deputy Managers with strong administrative and office-based management experience will also be considered.
• Strong leadership, safeguarding and organisational skills.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive salary of £52,000 – £65,000 per annum
• Deputy Managers stepping up considered from £47,500.

Additional Information

The home benefits from an established and fully staffed team, including a Deputy Manager and a Senior Team Leader who is progressing towards a Deputy Manager position.

The Registered Manager will receive regular support from a highly experienced Responsible Individual (RI), who visits the home weekly and brings over 20 years of experience within the sector, including 10 years as an RI.

Further development opportunities are available through internally delivered Level 3, Level 5 and Level 7 qualifications, alongside specialist physical intervention training.

There may also be an opportunity for dual registration at a third children’s residential home currently in the early stages of development within Worcestershire.
