About the role
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Curriculum Assistant to join our Adult Learning for Independence and Employment (ALFIE) team, supporting learners at our Berkshire College of Agriculture campus on a permanent, part-time basis.
This Curriculum Assistant – ALFIE position is a part time, permanent position working 20.5 hours a week on a term time only basis for 38 weeks a year (paid for 44.48 weeks per year). This position is on scale H of our support staff pay scale offering a salary between H19 £13,983.22 up to H22 £14,881.69 (H19 £29,586 up to H22 £31,487 FTE) depending on qualifications and experience.
Whilst we are flexible on the working pattern for this role, applicants should be aware that this role may involve working between 8am and 4:30pm Monday – Friday.
As a Curriculum Assistant within our ALFIE team, you will provide vital administrative and operational support across the department. Your key duties involve tracking student attendance, updating Individual Learning Plans, and managing the complete end to end enrolment process, from handling application paperwork and benefit details to updating systems such as EBS.
A central responsibility of this role is overseeing safeguarding compliance for external support staff across our sites. This includes processing DBS checks, verifying identification and maintaining live compliance trackers. You will also coordinate student trips, transport, open days and departmental events like graduation, while delivering great customer service and producing our termly newsletter.
Alongside these key areas, you will handle day to day office duties by minuting meetings, managing diaries, raising purchase orders, preparing learning materials and supporting classroom setup. Crucially, you will help promote a safe, inclusive learning environment, safeguard student welfare and support the values of the Group.
Please pay particular attention to the supporting statement of the application, making sure to include details of how you meet each of the essential criteria listed on the person specification.
