Job Overview

• Role: LGV Driver - Class 1/Cat C+E - All Shifts

• Location: Biggleswade Distribution Centre, Pegasus Drive, Biggleswade, SG18 8YY (Must be within a commutable distance)

• Pay Rate: £19.77 to £24.37 per hour (£19.77/hr base rate, plus £1.60/hr unsocial shift allowance between 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM, and £3.00/hr weekend shift allowance)

• Contract Type: Permanent, full-time (minimum 40 hours per week, working 5 shifts per week, including working 2 in 3 weekends)

• Working Pattern: Different start times available with 1-hour flexibility required each side of your scheduled start time.

• Closing Date: 04-11-2026

What You’ll Do

You’ll transport products safely from the distribution centre to Co-op stores, ensuring our communities stay stocked and supported. Duties include:

• Deliveries: Transport stock safely and cost-effectively to regional stores and help offload stock upon arrival.

• Safe Driving: Drive safely, obey road rules, follow Co-op procedures, and treat other road users and pedestrians with respect.

• Community Representation: Act as a positive ambassador for Co-op out on the road, making every effort to deliver reliably despite weather conditions.

What You’ll Bring

• A valid C&E category (Class 1) LGV driver’s licence.

• Previous driving experience (multi-drop delivery experience is preferable).

• Good customer service skills and a professional approach on the road.

• Great organisation, time management, and a collaborative attitude.

• Note: As part of the application process, you will need to complete two online assessments taking around 20 minutes.
