About the Role
Are you a tech-savvy Business Analyst who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and software technology?
This organisation is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join their internal IT team. Acting as a vital bridge between business stakeholders, technical team, and external vendors, you will lead technology initiatives from initial concept through to testing, delivery, and ongoing adoption.
This is a hands-on, business-focused role designed for someone who understands how software applications work, can read and interpret code, and is passionate about streamlining processes and managing internal systems, including Content Management Systems (CMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis & Systems Delivery: Gather requirements, write functional specifications and user stories, manage backlogs with the Head of IT, and document end-to-end process workflows.
- Systems & CMS Management: Support, configure, and evaluate Content Management Systems (CMS) and enterprise business applications to ensure effective digital content and information delivery.
- Technical Integration & Problem-Solving: Read and interpret application logic/code to troubleshoot issues, understand database structures and APIs, and evaluate integration opportunities.
- Change Control & Project Delivery: Coordinate change control processes, risk assessments, project rollouts, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Process Improvement & Automation: Challenge existing workflows to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and system enhancements.
- Information Security & Governance: Support the Head of IT with ISO 27001 readiness, supplier security assessments, and risk compliance.
- Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical colleagues and manage vendor relationships constructively.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven BA Experience: Prior experience in a BA, Technical BA, or Business Systems Analyst role.
- CMS & Systems Experience: Practical experience working with, configuring, or implementing Content Management Systems (CMS) and core business applications.
- Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of the SDLC, database structures, APIs, and the ability to read/understand application code logic.
- Delivery Focus: Experience managing project lifecycles, UAT, change control, and system rollouts.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent ability to engage with non-technical users and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Desirable Extras: Experience with SQL, Git/GitHub, Power BI, AI development tools, or ISO 27001 security standards.
Why Apply?
If you bring an analytical mindset, technical curiosity, and practical problem-solving skills, we offer an opportunity to drive meaningful digital transformation within a modern professional services organisation
To apply, please submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your technical background and BA experience.
