Job Title : Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job Type: Fixed term contract (4 months)

Salary: £14 per hour

Location: Broadstairs

We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our clients busy finance team on a fixed term contract for a period of 4 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing supplier invoices, managing supplier accounts, and supporting month end purchase ledger activities within a manufacturing/production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and code supplier invoices and credit notes promptly and accurately
• Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received records
• Prepare and execute supplier payment runs and handle BACS/CHAPS transactions
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies and queries
• Maintain purchase ledger records and assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Liaise with procurement, production and warehouse teams to resolve invoice/PO issues
• Support supplier onboarding and ensure compliance with company procedures

Essential experience and skills

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Good communication and supplier relationship skills
• Proficient in using accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
