NursLink is recruiting a Retirement Living Coordinator for Rowan Court, Ambleside, part of Riverside Retirement Living Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional, person-centred environment, delivering high-quality housing and care support to older adults.
This is a temp-to-permanent role, with potential to become permanent after 12 weeks, and includes shadowing the current post holder before taking full responsibility.
Role: Retirement Living Coordinator
Location: Rowan Court, Ambleside, Cumbria (also attending Gowan Lea, Burneside at least one day a week)
Hours: 30 hrs/week, Monday–Friday, daytime shifts
Pay Rate: £14/hr
Start Date: 16/03/2026 (shadowing current post holder)
DBS: Enhanced DBS required
Travel: Driver with own vehicle preferred but not essential (bus links available)
Breaks: As per shift requirements
The Retirement Living Coordinator is responsible for delivering high standards of housing management, care, and customer engagement across Rowan Court and Gowan Lea. You’ll ensure customers live safely, independently, and feel supported within their community.
As a Retirement Living Coordinator, you will:
Ensure occupancy targets and rent collection/arrears targets are met.
Monitor service contracts (e.g., lifts, heating, fire equipment, gardening).
Provide practical support and information to customers, including occupancy agreements and welfare benefits guidance.
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain housing management standards.
Address anti-social behaviour and ensure tenancy compliance.
Promote customer involvement, community integration, and engagement in activities.
Coordinate lettings, maintain waiting lists, and promote schemes.
Use IT systems to maintain professional and timely records.
Travel between Rowan Court and Gowan Lea to deliver services effectively.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, GDPR, and Riverside policies.
Experience working with older or vulnerable adults.
Experience in housing management and liaising with partner agencies.
Basic IT proficiency (Microsoft Office) and willingness to learn housing systems.
Strong communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
Desirable: full driving licence (own vehicle preferred), formal housing qualification.
Shadowing the current post holder.
Full induction and mandatory training in housing, health & safety, safeguarding, and IT systems.
