About the role
Location: Baldock / SG7 Area, Hertfordshire
Position: Groundworker (Solar Farm Project)
Contract Duration: 2 Months
Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour
Hours: 8 hours per day (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
About the Role
We are looking for 3 experienced Groundworkers for an immediate start on a Solar Farm development in the SG7 (Baldock) area. This site requires groundworkers with experience in civil works, trenching, and ground preparation for solar installations.
Please note: No digs/accommodation allowance provided. Local candidates preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Cable trenching, ducting, and backfilling across the solar farm site

Ground preparation, excavation, and leveling for mounting structures / inverter pads

Concrete bases, track construction, and perimeter boundary/fencing groundworks

Assisting plant operators and adhering strictly to site health & safety guidelines
Requirements & Qualifications:

CSCS Card: Valid CSCS Card is essential (Green or Blue Skilled Card)

Experience: Proven site groundworks experience (previous solar farm or utility/infrastructure experience is a bonus)

PPE: Full PPE required (Steel toe boots, Hard hat, High-vis vest/trousers, Gloves, Safety glasses)

Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK

Commute: Reliable transport to get to site daily in the SG7 area (No digs provided)
