Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant – Enfield
Long Term Futures are recruiting a committed Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Enfield, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with a variety of additional learning, communication and emotional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident working with older students, adaptable across subjects, and enthusiastic about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. The school has a strong, experienced SEN department and provides high-quality support and training for long-term staff.
Full Time | Term Time Only | January 2026
Up to £120 per day | Long-Term Role (Temp to Perm)
Key Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 and small-group SEN support across KS3 and KS4
Support pupils with learning tasks, engagement and communication
Assist students with mild SEMH, ASD, SLCN or general learning needs
Implement strategies from EHCPs and contribute to progress tracking
Work collaboratively with the SENCo, teachers and pastoral team
Promote independence, confidence and inclusion within lessons
Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience supporting young people with SEND in a school or youth setting
Calm, patient, adaptable approach to varied learning needs
Confidence working across multiple secondary subjects
Understanding of safeguarding, EHCPs and inclusive classroom practice
Background in education, youth work, SEN support or mentoring (desirable)
Location & Transport – Enfield, North London
