Driver Hire Edinburgh West are recruiting a Minibus Driver to assist with a local passenger transport service in Bathgate.

You’ll be responsible for taking older passengers safely between their homes and local day centres. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and can provide a patient, considerate and reliable service.

🚐 The Role

• Transport passengers safely between their homes and local day centres.
• Ensure passengers feel comfortable and supported throughout their journeys.
• Provide assistance where required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or concerns.
• Keep the minibus clean, safe and roadworthy.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.

⏰ Working Hours

This is an ad hoc position with no guaranteed hours.

Typical shifts are:

• 🌅 Morning: Approximately 8:00am–10:00am
• 🌤️ Afternoon: Approximately 2:00pm–4:00pm

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, with exact times dependent on the needs of the service.

📋 Essential Requirements

• Category D1 driving licence with no 101 restriction.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• PVG Disclosure dated within the last 3 years.
• No more than 6 penalty points – minor offences only.
• No CD, DD, DR or IN endorsements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring and professional manner.
• Reliable, responsible and punctual approach.

💷 Pay & Opportunity

• £13.50 per hour.
• Ad hoc weekday driving assignments.
• Morning and afternoon shifts may be available.
