Tug Driver – Liverpool, Merseyside – £15.00 Per Hour

£15.00 Per Hour | Wednesday to Friday | 7am Starts | Guaranteed Minimum Shift Pay | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Full Training

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Tug Driver to join our well-established client based in Liverpool, Merseyside.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering a three-day working week, guaranteed minimum shift pay and ongoing work with an established logistics company.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Tug Driver, Yard Tug Driver, Tug Vehicle Operator or Yard Shunter with relevant tug operating experience.

Shifts

 • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
 • 07:00–17:00
 • Shift duration to be confirmed

Rates of Pay

 • £15.00 per hour
 • Guaranteed minimum shift pay
 • Weekly pay
 • Holiday pay accrued separately

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Tug Driver, your duties will include:

 • Operating tug vehicles safely and efficiently
 • Completing tug movements around the yard
 • Moving loads and transporting shipments across the site
 • Opening and closing trailers as required
 • Following all site health and safety procedures
 • Reporting vehicle faults, defects and maintenance issues
 • Maintaining safe and tidy warehouse and yard areas
 • Working closely with the warehouse team to support daily operations

Essential Skills

As a Tug Driver, you will need:

 • Minimum 24 months’ Tug driving experience
 • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
 • Strong communication and customer service skills
 • Good spoken and written English
 • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
 • Ability to follow site safety procedures

 • Industry-related training provided
 • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
