Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Sector: Lloyd's Market / Insurance
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established London Market insurer looking to appoint a Senior Credit Controller to join its finance operations function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong Lloyd's market experience, particularly within Delegated Authority, who is looking to further develop their credit control expertise or transition into a dedicated credit control position.
The role offers a high level of autonomy, alongside regular interaction with underwriting teams, Lloyd's brokers and coverholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a significant portfolio of Delegated Authority accounts, ensuring effective premium collection and settlement.
Monitor premium movements, discrepancies and outstanding balances using reporting dashboards.
Oversee FDO signings and ensure premium bordereaux are received and processed within agreed timescales.
Reconcile written and paid premiums, investigating discrepancies and resolving outstanding items.
Build strong relationships with Lloyd's brokers and coverholders to facilitate timely settlements.
Work closely with underwriting teams to identify problematic accounts and implement corrective actions.
Attend broker meetings where necessary to resolve outstanding balances.
Review policy documentation and settlement information.
Contribute to improvements in credit control reporting, processes and operational efficiency.
Support the development of reporting tools and explore opportunities for automation.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience within the Lloyd's or London insurance market, with strong exposure to Delegated Authority / binding authority business.
Experience within credit control, technical accounting, premium processing or a related insurance operations function, with an interest in transitioning into credit control.
Good understanding of Delegated Authority premium processing and settlement cycles.
Familiarity with binding authorities, premium bordereaux and associated processes.
Experience working with Lloyd's brokers, coverholders or underwriting teams.
Knowledge of the Insurers' Market Repository (IMR) would be beneficial.
Strong Excel skills, including Lookups, IF formulas and Pivot Tables.
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
