About the role
Location: Croydon, CR0
Hourly Rate: £16 - £19 per hour + guaranteed overtime
Job Type: Permanent | Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, 40 hours per week
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator to join a well-established engineering and fabrication company based in Croydon.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in fine limit and general sheet metal work who can confidently work from technical drawings and manufacture products to a high standard.

The Role
As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of sheet metal fabrication and finishing, producing high-quality components from a variety of materials.
Duties will include:
- Reading and working accurately from technical drawings
- Fine-limit and general sheet metal fabrication
- Operating CNC and manual press brakes
- Using guillotines and other sheet metal machinery
- TIG and MIG welding
- Grinding, dressing and finishing components to a high standard
- Working with various metals up to approximately 6mm thickness
- Using a range of sheet metal hand tools and fabrication equipment
- Checking finished work to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Working effectively as part of the wider production team
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Sheet Metal Fabricator or similar
- Proven experience within fine limit sheet metal work
- Ability to read and understand technical/engineering drawings
- Experience operating CNC and/or manual press brakes
- TIG and MIG welding experience
- Experience with guillotines, grinding and finishing
- Ability to work with different metals up to approximately 6mm
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to produce finished components to a very high standard
- CAD knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential
- Reliable, organised and methodical approach to work
