About the role
Currie & Brown's Jersey office delivers cost and commercial advice on some of the island's most significant public and private sector projects. We're looking for a senior Quantity Surveyor to lead that service: own the P&L, build the team, and be the name clients call first.
This is a leadership role with real autonomy. You'll shape the five-year plan for cost management in Jersey, with the backing of a global consultancy behind you.
What you'll do
- Lead and grow the Jersey QS team, mentoring and developing junior surveyors
- Take P&L responsibility for cost management services and drive fee growth
- Deliver accurate cost advice, reporting and commercial management across all project stages
- Be the lead client interface, building long-term relationships with public and private sector clients
- Win work: develop new opportunities, write bids, and represent Currie & Brown across the island's business community
- Work with project leaders and other consultants to keep projects on budget and on programme
- MRICS (or equivalent professional membership) with a degree in QS or a related discipline
- Senior PQS experience gained within a construction consultancy
- A track record of running significant projects from inception to completion
- Experience in both public and private sector work
- Business development instinct: you enjoy winning work as much as delivering it
- Strong report-writing and client-facing skills
- Knowledge of the Jersey or Channel Islands market is a strong advantage, but not essential for the right candidate
