We are recruiting for a Document Controller to work on a permanent basis near Wigan.
Salary is c£30-35,000 per annum plus 22-24 days’ holiday and bank holidays, pension etc.
The Document Controller role is to support project delivery through effective management of technical documentation. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in the construction and/or engineering sectors who is highly organised and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and version control
- Distribute drawings, specifications, and technical documents to relevant stakeholders
- Maintain document control systems and filing structures
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors regarding documentation
- Ensure all documentation complies with company and project standards
- Track and log incoming and outgoing documents
- Assist with general administrative duties related to technical teams
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a document control or technical administration role
- Background in construction and/or engineering industries (preferred)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with document management systems is advantageous
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
