Key Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant based in Aberdare, your daily duties will include:
Providing general classroom support to enhance learning experiences for all pupils
Working closely with the Class Teacher to develop engaging, inclusive lesson plans
Supporting children with very complex learning difficulties, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs
Assisting with behavioural and emotional support strategies
Fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Promoting positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need:
Previous experience working with children with complex learning needs or challenging behaviours
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability and patience in a dynamic classroom setting
Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or childcare are desirable
Enthusiasm for supporting children’s development and inclusion
