This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, can manage a classroom effectively and is committed to supporting students in their learning.The successful candidate will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and complete the work set by their teachers.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 during the short-term absence of teaching staff.Ensure students complete pre-prepared work and remain focused on their learning.Maintain a positive, safe and well-managed classroom environment.Follow the school's behaviour management policies and procedures.Support students with their learning where appropriate.Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.Report any concerns, incidents or issues to the appropriate member of staff.Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students at all times.Essential RequirementsExperience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.A confident, calm and professional approach.The ability to adapt to different subjects, classes and age groups.Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational role would be advantageous.
