Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of residential childcare services in Ebbw Vale, is seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support a team within a nurturing environment, ensuring high standards of care for children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker based in Ebbw Vale, your daily duties will include:

Leading and supervising staff within the residential children’s home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
Supporting the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including attachment disorders, challenging behaviour, and safeguarding.
Mentoring and coaching team members, conducting staff supervisions, and assisting in staff development and probationary assessments.
Deputising for the Care Home Manager in their absence, supporting operational management and decision-making.
Maintaining accurate recording and reporting, ensuring all documentation aligns with RISCA regulations and company policies.
Managing on-call duties, staff rotas, and supporting the team to deliver consistent, high-quality care.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will need:

QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care Children & Young People (or equivalent).
At least 2 years’ experience in residential childcare, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role.
Knowledge of current legislation, safeguarding, and best practice in residential childcare.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to support flexible working hours, including weekends, bank holidays, and occasional overnight stays.
Desirable: QCF Level 4 qualification, which may be offered on passing probation, subject to competency.
