Shearer Associates is partnering with well established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced and hands-on Management Accountant based in Gloucester.
A Newly created and varied accounting role reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Manager, working within a close-knit supportive finance team. get stuck into a wide range of finance duties.

Key Responsibilities
Management Accounts Preparation
- Prepare monthly management accounts in line with the Group reporting timetable
- Provide detailed analysis of operational and commercial performance
- Collaborate with two Accounts Assistants and report directly to the Finance Manager
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with agreed deadlines
- Reconcile all key accounts and provide commentary on significant period movements
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register in line with local and Group accounting policies
- Monitor intercompany transactions, loan balances, and other related party accounts
Weekly Reporting (Cover as Required)
- Produce and submit weekly sales and orders reports to the Group
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts for review
- Perform weekly operational checks, including shop issues and stock movements
- Support additional reporting requirements across the wider business
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams with queries
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required
