Location: Fradley Park, Lichfield

Rate: £ Upto 21k p/a

Our client based in Fradley Park is a large international distribution centre.

Duties will include to control the local collection and delivery vehicles and to ensure that freight entering the warehouse is correctly barcoded. They will required to track vehicle progress and to take appropriate remedial actions if vehicles are not running to the planned time.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:

§ To assist in control vehicles and debrief drivers returning to Lichfield

§ To assist in scanning back all collections into Hellas in an efficient and timely manner

§ To archive POD’s when required into Hellas

§ Ensuring that all jobs have been updated accurately in Hellas and all tours have been closed where required

§ To re-allocate collections as and where needed.

§ Liaison with warehouse team, and other departments, as and when necessary.

§ Answering telephone calls and dealing with queries as required.

§ Solving any issues arising during the day and escalating to Warehouse Supervisor and/or Transport Manager if necessary.

§ Update KPI sheets on daily basis

§ Oversee DX collections on a daily basis

§ Update and publish failure report when required

§ Provide sickness and holiday cover for PM shift when required

About you;

The ideal candidate will be educated in Maths and English (oral and written) to GCSE, Standard Grade or equivalent; grade A-C and be able to demonstrate highly competent computer skills in all areas of Microsoft office.

They will have previous experience of working within a customer focussed office environment. A background and understanding of European Road Freight and/ or Transport would be advantage, as would a good awareness of local geography.

The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and organisational skills. They will be self-confident with the ability to build and maintain working relationships and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
