SEN Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a secondary school in Evesham, supporting pupils with additional needs on a long-term basis or on a day-to-day basis, depending on your availability.

The school is looking for a caring, confident and resilient Teaching Assistant who can provide effective support to pupils across the secondary age range. You may be supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, Autism, ADHD and behavioural needs, helping them to engage with learning and feel settled within the school environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for regular work in a supportive secondary setting.

Job Role:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs

• Support pupils to access the secondary curriculum

• Assist students with SEN, SEMH, Autism and ADHD

• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

• Help pupils develop confidence and independence

• Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team

• Follow individual support and behaviour plans where required

• Provide reassurance and consistency throughout the school day

• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience working with children or young people

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable

• A good understanding of Autism, ADHD or SEMH

• Confident managing challenging or dysregulated behaviour

• Patient, calm and approachable manner

• Strong communication skills

• Able to work effectively as part of a school team

• A genuine interest in supporting young people

• £92.59 day rate to £100 day rate which equates to £18,055 per annum to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based in Evesham, and is easily commutable from Bengeworth, Hampton, Offenham, Badsey, Harvington, Sedgeberrow, Pershore, Honeybourne and surrounding areas.
