Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant, Permanent , £35,000-£38,000, Nuneaton, On-site Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Management Accountant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, has excellent Excel skills, and wants to develop their accounting experience in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Produce the monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Manipulate, structure, and analyse financial data to prepare it for reporting
Create financial schedules, commentary, and supporting documentation
Complete month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain and update financial spreadsheets, reports, and databases
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline processes

What We’re Looking For

Experience within a finance or accounting role (Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Analyst, etc.)
Excellent Excel skills — including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data manipulation
Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
Good understanding of core accounting principles
Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable (but not essential)

AAT / ACCA / CIMA
Experience with Sage
