Job Title: Mechanical Fitter – Wastewater TreatmentSummaryResponsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used in wastewater treatment plants, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair pumps, valves, pipework, and rotating equipmentCarry out planned and reactive maintenanceRead and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsSupport shutdowns, inspections, and fault findingEnsure compliance with Health & Safety standardsComplete maintenance reports and documentationRequirementsProven experience as a Mechanical Fitter (ideally in water/wastewater or industrial environments)Knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, valves, and pipe systemsAbility to read technical drawingsRelevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)CSCS card (preferred for site-based roles)DesirableExperience with water utilities such as Thames WaterConfined space trainingExperience in MEICA environments
