- To support the day-to-day operation of Charlie Bigham's SYSPRO ERP and integration platforms while completing a structured development pathway into systems development and integration.
- Working under the guidance of senior members of the Business Systems team, the role will learn how information moves between SYSPRO ERP, P74 Production Planning, Reflex Demand Planning, Indigo WMS, Marco Manufacturing and EDI trading partners.
- The role will build practical experience with SQL Server, XML, APIs and integration tools while helping to investigate issues, complete controlled testing, maintain documentation and support business users.
- This is an entry-level development role. Previous SYSPRO or enterprise integration experience is not required. The role is full-time, based in London or Wells with the ability to work from home. Once suitably trained, occasional support for planned events or critical incidents may be required with senior-team guidance.
Main Responsibilities
• Development support - assist with supervised integration and system-development tasks; make controlled changes to SQL queries, stored procedures and database objects; learn how XML, APIs and Business Objects connect systems; and document work clearly.
• Testing - follow agreed test scripts, record results, gather evidence, retest bug fixes and enhancements, and support User Acceptance Testing.
• Troubleshooting - monitor daily integration processes, complete initial checks on failed interfaces and data errors, record findings, and escalate issues promptly when support is needed.
• Business support - respond to prioritised requests, help users with system and integration queries, maintain support notes, and build an understanding of Production, Planning, Warehouse and Finance processes.
• Documentation and training support - keep technical and user documentation up to date and help prepare training material under the direction of experienced colleagues.
• Continuous learning - develop knowledge of SQL Server, database fundamentals, XML, APIs, BPA Platform, Business Objects, enterprise integrations, secure development practices and manufacturing business processes.
