About the role
Are you an experienced and ambitious teacher and/or leader of Business Studies and, ideally, Economics, looking to work with remarkable students, in an established and Ofsted Outstanding school?
Your opportunity:
We are looking for a Head of Business Studies and Economics, committed to inspiring our students, fostering a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement. Business Studies is a highly popular choice at both KS4 and KS5, with more than half of Year 9 students choosing the subject as one of their options. Students consistently achieve excellent results at both GCSE and A-level.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to lead a high-achieving department and make a meaningful impact on students' academic growth and personal development.
What we are looking for:
- An excellent practitioner who will deliver joyful and challenging Business Studies, and potentially Economics, lessons to students of all abilities.
- A natural leader, who is confident, compassionate and committed to making a remarkable impact on students and colleagues.
- A role model for outstanding teaching to both colleagues and students and someone who strives continually to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
- Someone with high standards of communication and interpersonal skills, committed to working as part of a team.
- Someone with the ability to motivate both students and their peers, with a proven track record in achieving excellent student progress.
- A passion for student welfare.
