L2 SEND TA

Location: Barnsley, S72
Pay: £95+ per day, PAYE
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for a Level 2 qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Barnsley (S72) area, supporting a Year 3 pupil on a 1:1 basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, patient and dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential.
The Role

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil.
• Support the pupil’s learning, development and engagement in the classroom.
• Adapt activities and learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to support the pupil’s progress.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
• Has experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a primary school setting.
• Is patient, empathetic and confident in providing individualised support.
• Has strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is available to start ASAP and commit to a full-time role.
