Senior Structural Tekla Detailer/Coordinator

You’ll manage structural steel detailing projects from initial model development through to completion, producing high-quality models and drawing packages. You’ll coordinate project information with clients and colleagues, support quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement.

The Role:

• Develop 3D models from engineering drawings and models, managing the modelling and drawing process through to project completion.
• Produce detailed GA drawings and fabrication drawing packages to a high standard.
• Raise requests for information (RFIs) and technical queries (TQs) when further information is required.
• Coordinate project information with clients, engineers, architects and subcontractors.
• Attend design team meetings to support project coordination.
• Report to the Drawing Office Manager and liaise with other departments to meet project requirements.
• Follow company quality assurance procedures.
• Support the training and development of apprentice structural detailers.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to positive feedback.
• Contribute to business improvement and promote company principles and goals.

The Candidate

• You’ll be an experienced structural steel detailer with strong Tekla Structures skills and the confidence to manage projects independently. You’ll also bring:
• At least 20 years’ experience detailing in the structural steelwork industry.
• At least 15 years’ experience using Tekla Structures.
• The ability to work on your own initiative and manage detailing work through to completion.
• Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors and internal teams.
• A commitment to high-quality work and established QA procedures.
• The ability to support and train apprentice detailers.
• A professional, collaborative approach to client relationships and teamwork.
