About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to support a modern and growing technology environment within a thriving secondary school. You will provide technical support to staff and students, maintain IT equipment, assist with network and system management, and help ensure that technology supports outstanding teaching and learning.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Has experience of supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Can work independently whilst contributing positively to a team.
  • Is committed to delivering a reliable and professional support service.
  • Shares the values of WeST: Collaboration, Aspiration, Integrity, Compassion and Respect.

Experience within an educational setting would be advantageous but is not essential.

At South Dartmoor Community College, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance, online checks and satisfactory references.

The College has in recent years secured some of the best results in the South West for student progress. It has a strong staff team in place to ensure every child is enabled to fulfil their potential including specialist teachers at all levels. We have an excellent academic record, and our pastoral support is second to none. Our students report that they feel very happy and safe at the school. We are proud of our students, and they are proud of their school. The relationships between staff and students are strong. Community engagement is also an important feature; we have an active Parent/Teacher Association (FOSDA—Friends of South Dartmoor Academy).

If you want to work in an inspiring, fully inclusive environment with students who want to succeed, and friendly, supportive staff, then we want to hear from you! You will join a passionate and dedicated team, and a Trust who is committed to providing professional development and opportunities for all colleagues.

Working for the Trust includes some key benefits, please see our website for full details.
